This one day action tour takes us to Gigjökull which is a glacierfall from Eyjafjallajökull.
From Gigjökull the melted ice from the eruption at Eyjafjallajökull came bursting down and created a destructive flood on its way
to sea. The route to Gigjökull we push the throttle and have some serious jeep action including river splashing and more fun.
So buckle up please !
After seeing Gigjökull and the destruction of the eruption we continue our tour to the beautiful Seljalandsfoss, where the sure-footed can walk behind the cascade.
On the way we will explore a spectacular hidden canyon with a unique flora, green moss walls and a beautiful waterfall.
Now We will stop for a icelandic picnic. (picnic included) After the picnic the tour takes us trough areas where no normal vehicle can go, travel through areas which were badly hit by ashfall in the beginning of the eruption and drive across glacial rivers on our journey to be able to view the eruption site and touch some hot lava rocks. (Almost)
The Atlantic ocean with vast panoramic views, that´s our next destination. We will drive along the shore-line on dramatic black beaches and have some fun in the sand on our way to the impressive Skógarfoss waterfall before we head back to Reykjavik.
